Disabilities we serve — therapy & rehabilitation
Comprehensive medical and rehabilitation care — free for our orphaned children with disabilities and for families in need.
We work with many doctors, consultants and nursing assistants, and with the medical centres, public and private hospitals, and the imaging and laboratory centres we deal with, to serve the children of El Sondos — orphans, and children with disabilities from families in need — free of charge, along with the devices and aids their needs require. We also provide our orphaned children with special needs the medicines, operations and physiotherapy needed for full rehabilitation after their various operations.
Language abilities are assessed, and the children are cared for and followed up through psychological and medical examination and screening of speech barriers, detecting psychological and physical problems early. We provide all prosthetic devices and hearing and mobility aids — as well as psychologists, through whom the cognitive and intellectual abilities and the various behavioural skills of persons with disabilities are assessed, and different programmes are set to modify their behaviour and develop their skills.
